With the recession in full swing, consumers aren’t letting go of their greener habits. Clients ask me this all of the time- now that money is tight, is the green trend over? Green isn’t a trend, it is a lens through which consumers can look at most any decision and see ways to live better.
You can care about your wallet AND the planet or your personal health AND the planet AND your wallet. There are so many choices out there now that empower even the lightest green consumer to do better. Keep in mind, consumers have several considerations when they consume – it really isn’t ever one-dimensional.
According to a new National Green Buying survey:
Eighty percent of consumers surveyed say they buy green products and services, even though they often cost more, according to a new National Green Buying Survey. About half the 1,000 people surveyed say they are buying the same amount of green products, while 19% say they are buying more than before the downturn.
