So, here I am 3/4 of the way through my maternity leave and pondering my green-ness on baby # 3. I would say, I’m doing many green things but taking some short cuts , specifically diapers, and more open to them than I was with baby #2…

Am I  tired? Lazy? More realistic about the trade-offs between green and non-green… I haven’t figured it out…but I do know that I started using the Huggies “Green” diapers only in the newborn size b/c I just didn’t want blow outs and I could justify using them just in the newborn phase. I have since bought size 1s and now size 2s….whilst the Nature Baby Care diapers go un-ordered.  I keep telling myself- we’re recycling all of the kids clothes, we’re composting like crazy right now, we’re growing our own veggies, bringing canvas totes to the store, haven’t bought a bottle of water in years, etc… balancing out my own guilty conscience perhaps?
